    Re: PS3 vs PS4: Do I have a need for a PS4 ?

My PS4 is covered in dust, i found that as i have a good PC (i7 with 8GB Ram and a R280) i buy most games that the PS4 and xbone have off of steam. the exclusives are few and far between at the moment. I enjoyed Killzone and infamous but nothing else i am interested in, it will change in the new year i have no doubt but it was too early to buy it and i regret the purchase even though it is a great console. funnily enough my son is getting a Wii U for xmas and i am more excited for the games hes getting on that than the PS4. great console but i would wait to the new year at least.

Ye it seems to be, its a bit of an unspoken thing at the moment it seems. The official word is that its exclusive to xbox one but theres an interview with Microsoft's Phil Spencer on kotaku (and officially linked on the tombraider tumblr post regarding exclusivity) that:

"If I owned the IP it would be forever, but I don’t own the IP and I don’t own development of Tomb Raider on any other platform. So if you ask me, is Tomb Raider going to ship on another platform, I actually can’t give you an answer because I’m not the developer of the game.

I can talk about Tomb Raider coming to Xbox in 2015 exclusively, right - that’s the deal I have on the game, but I don’t own the IP.”

I'd personally take that as an unofficial confirmation it is a timed exclusive for 2015 only. The same message seems to be in IGN and eurogamer articles regarding it too.

Guess they're probably trying to compete with Uncharted on PS4.

    Bought my PS4 today.

    Disappointed so far!
No Ace Combat Infinity on PS4!
Hardly any games worth playing on PS4.
    The games are so expensive!!!

    1) was a known fact before you bought
    2) is very debatable
    3) welcome to this generation

I'm still on the fence, until it matches my PS3 for media playback it can't be the console that sits under my living room TV whic reduces its 'value' to me massively.

This is why I don't own any next gen console yet.

Once Unchartered and Gran Turismo are out, they may get a sale from me. Until then (or some new crazy good exclusive(s) come along), I fail to see the point in buying one.

We might be getting DNLA support in Jan - although the usual pinch of salt might be advisable

Have they brought in a feature (on either one) to allow users to change their PSN ID yet, or is that still impossible?

As far as I know it still locks all of your stuff thinking you're suddenly a completely different person just because of a name change. Changing email was just as impossible as well.

    Re: PS3 vs PS4: Do I have a need for a PS4 ?

I'm still satisfied with all the games I have on my PS3. I'll probably give a few more years before I'll purchase PS4. A few of the games available for PS4 seem really promising.
