    Computer Question

Hey guys, I'm looking into a few Dell systems on this website.
    http://www.dell.com/content/products...=19&l=en&s=dhs
Out of all of them, which one is the best and most money efficient, that can run fast, has good graphics, and can run at a fast speed? I'm trying to stick to a low price, but which one can get the most for the buck? Also, I have a KDS Rad-5s Radius monitor already, is it worth buying a new monitor?
If there are better systems out there for a decent price, could you list them too?
    Thanks a bunch!

the xps range is what you want to look at for gaming.

The inspiron seems to have the 8600gt /gts as its best graphics card which is quite poor for gaming.

If you're serious about gaming the 8800GTS is the best option for the money.

    Ah I see
I don't plan playing any major games that specifically need high-tech graphics.
Out of those four, which one do you think is the best deal - or could you even build a better one yourself? Is the 2gb memory alot more important than the 1gb? Also, is the AMD better or Intel?
    Sorry for so many questions!

I think at the least 2GB is essential, especially for todays games and if you intend on running Windows Vista.

Dollars is a bit tricky for me as i don't know what you get for your money over there but i would hazard a guess you would get a much better machine if you built it yourself.

2gb of ram is a deffinate.

Okay then I'll probably be getting 2 gb of ram
Are Dells a good option for computers? If not, what are?

    Re: Computer Question

I know that 14yr olds do their own builds these days. All the help is out there, so if you're feeling confident go for it, there are loads of positives for doing a self-build as it's...

    - customised to your EXACT requirements
    - styled to your taste (choice of case, monitor, etc)
    - usually less expensive
    - free help here!
    - you're learning a new skill
    - a great sense of satisfaction
    - impresses other (less technical, women...) people lots

I'm sure there are loads of other benefits; but even so if it's not your cup of tea there is always DELL or other smaller companies (check their customer feedback) which will do you a build
