Right first up is the case.

I have got it and cut out the top part ready for cutting. I was going to cut this myself but I bought the Rad and Rad grill from Kustom so I decided to get them to cut it at the same time

drilled out the pop-rivets that hold the case top onto the case. Easy job

    Unwrapping!

    Sexy front

    Inside the case

    Inside Front

    Rear

    Inside Rear

    Side

    Inside Top

    And the case top off

Looking good. Very nice case. Very light. Just the "professional" look I want

Any ideas on what I can do to the case is much appreciated. I'm going to be putting a window in the side panel but need some inspiration

    Just some thoughts

I currently have Blue UV Dye and UV Cold Cathodes. I am thinking of trying this Orange UV dye that I have but I think its a bit pink! Maybe Red is a better colour?

The LANPARTY motherboard is mainly yellow and orange so if I can get an orange UV dye that is ACTUALLY orange then I like orange as a main colour for the water with maybe blue highlights elsewhere. What dya think?

Deffo going to get some black and silver action going on inside the case. Unsure if I want to paint the indide though so maybe some black and silver highlights (like polished perforated aluminium). There's definately going to be a window in the case and I may try my hand at some etching into it. I like drawing so I'll come up with some ideas on paper and show you guys

I'm also trying to think how I can incorpoarte the spare CM Crossflow I have fan into the case as that is awesome for cooling the entire motherboard

Just thought I'd show you just how sexy the Crystalfontz LCD really is

I dunno about the case, but if youre using that block and that pump cancel the aquacomputer radiator, they are super restrictive (or at least used to be) if youve ordered it for the mount then hit up over-clock.co.uk and look into the thermochill stuff

Well the Rad has G1/4 barbs as do a lot of Rads so it should be too bad with the system. I have some G1/4 to 1/2" converters already. The NexXxos GPU block will also be lower flow so I can't see it being too much of a problem tbh. I was going to get the XSPC 360mm crossflow Rad but the AC stuff has had some good reviews and I can't see it being a problem. Plus the Rad grill looks very sweet

its not just the barbs though, lookt at the size of the tubes running through it compared to other stuff, since i assume youre not fussed about noise (if a pcp&c supply is anything to go by) then why not go the whole hog and do it properly? He series rad and 6 panaflos

Here's my reasons (this is meant as an explanation rather than a dig so read it in a nice tone )

One: I have this pump here, on me and I don't have to go buy a new one.

Two: Its partly for show too. The AC stuff + rad grill go together nicely and AC stuff is nice.

Three: I just can't see the temps are gonna be affected that much to be honest. Hell: I turned down my pump to 1 the other day and temps stayed the same.

Four: No I'm not massivly fussed about noise but having had 1 x High speed panaflo in my case when I was on air has put me off of fans like that for life. FAR too much noise even with the PCP&C PSU.

Five: I'm pretty sure its not going to affect my OC adding the bigger RAD + GPU to my system. Basically this mod is meant for looks rather than performance. As long as I sit on good temps like I am now I'll be happy

Hope that explains my thinking a bit more

Didnt realise it was an upgrade to an existing system, fair enough. It should still be pretty sweet when its all done. AS far as ideas for the case go, id be tempted by completly stealth, no window or anything

Yeah I did wonder about that. I'd really love to have the side door swing open on some hinges now I think about it

Recieved yesterday: alphacool NexXxos waterblock. Not too impressed with the base finish but the top looks nice.

I will be getting myself a lapping kit

Kustom say that the top should be with me friday which is a bummer as I have tomorrow off and they recieved it tuesday morning

I also recieved some M3 x 6/10/16mm screws and some M3 full bolts

Tomorrow (thursday 18th) I will be finishing off a graphics card review roundup I need to get out then hopefully getting some work done on the project. I've sold the stacker now so fingers crossed for some good work

my polarflo gpu block was like, that its just a bit of oxide on the copper, wont cause any harm, especially seeing as it doesnt appear to be on any of the contact points. Check it either covers the fets, or you put something on them, a lot of people got caught out with melting 6800s when the full card designs started coming out (may not be an issue on a 7900)
