Antec 900 and Corsair 620W problem

My lovely new Corsair HX620 arrived today. Good quality package, but I've got a big problem with it....

My case is an Antec 900 and the PSU fits in the bottom rather than at the top, and the Corsair's fan is... on the bottom! Obviously I can't fit it like this as there would be no airflow. Fitting it upside down will leave it open to as much dust as could fall into it, and I'm not sure that this is safe, or even that it's safe to fit PSUs upside down. I could cover the fan aperture with a piece of fine aluminium car body mesh.....

What do you think? Should I just buy another PSU? Thanks for any help

Mounting the PSU upside down is safe and will not cause issues. Any dust in your case is going to where the most airflow is anyway so the position inside the case for the PSU is not critical with regards to dust. If you find the dust in your case is an issue, normal cleaing with compressed air is a good idea.

Buying another PSU is not going to solve the issue. Only a new case would change the mounting orientation.

I can confirm no problems at all.

I use the Antec 900 with the Corsair HX620W for my standard bench testing here at HEXUS where extreme loads are applied and there have been absolutely no problems, the PSU has been excellent.

    Sometimes a little aint enough...

Hi, i want this case and this PSU. Is it ok to use both as they come? I read someone dremmeled a hole in bottom of 900 case and fitted a stand (feet to case for airflow.)

is this essential or is it definately ok as it comes? even for long periods of time?

    ta very much x
