it is a shame when a company such as corsair throw shipping in our face as they cant be arsed to accomodate the countrys where there selling the stock..
in other words stop taking the pee with shipping prices because you cant be arsed to find an alternative for us poor EU and beyond countries ! Last edited by GoNz0; 26-07-2007 at 11:48 AM.. Reason: typo (if you want to know what i spelt wrong, read the quote below :p) |

it is harsh, but then again look at companys like logitech, all they ask for is an identifiable part thats small enough to post pack after they send a spare.
oh and i will always buy corsair ram as thats easy enough to RMA, but wont buy anything with dangly removable parts until they sort it out for us none US places

Yep, it seems Corsair's great reputation for support is all US based, something I didnt even realise till I came on these forums! So thats opened my eyes. I guess its time to look for an alternative to the HX520W.

I think at the very least, if Corsair offered Cross-Shipping then people may have a little more faith. Its no good flogging yourself as one of the best (which their products are to be fair), and then offering little to no support to a large chunk of your customer base when it all goes balls up. |

Re: Replacement cables, free but costly.....
I bought the 520HX PSU 4 days ago. On Scan's website it clearly states that you have to return the item to Scan for warranty purposes. Can't post the link since I'm a new member but check Scan's website.

Re: Replacement cables, free but costly.....
Yeh, I risked the Corsair PSU in the end and I hope 'touch wood' that I don't need to rely on the warranty service at any point the PSU is very heavy and it will cost a fortune just to post back to scan, let alone to the states if it every breaks!

Re: Replacement cables, free but costly.....
Cant really do anything about the shipping costs, but as long as corsair mark the goods are clearly marked as warranty replacement on corsairs commercial invoice then it is possible they may be brought in the UK tax/duty free.

I don't have any updated information yet. "It is being worked on" is all I have been told.

Re: Replacement cables, free but costly.....
well i shall not be buying anything corsair, as i have held off from doing since this thread came up.
when they sort out a way of RMA or getting spares without costing more than the units worth new, maybe i will buy a corsair PSU. as it stands, sending back to the USA in not an option. |
