We're sorry to hear that. However, you do have the option of returning it to your retailer which makes more sense anway, especially if you bought it at a brick n mortar store.

Earlier this week I emailed Corsair with regards to getting some 8-Pin PCI-E cables, got a reply saying the cables are free but postage will cost $20.00, thats just not on.

Come on Corsair, sort this out!!

Yeh right.. I order DVDs, Console games etc.. from the USA, shipping has never cost me more than £5.

All they have to do is stick them in a jiffy bag and post them

Thankfully Corsair make (from my experience anyway) quality products that rarely NEED RMAing. But as an owner of a HX620 I would like to know that I won't have to pay ridiculous prices for shipping to and from the USA. I mean... do you actually WANT people to buy from you. Because I know for sure once someone's had a bad experience with a company they rarely go back...

yep its good quality and sure its rare for it to break down, but do you want to risk it? especially if you've never used corsair before and you know these facts.

Oh don't get me wrong moogle, I probably wouldn't of bought one if I'd known this before. Just pointing out that Corsair are lucky they've got such a stable, quality PSU or this problem would of arisen in a lot larger, probably nastier way, if you understand my reasoning

Putting personal experience aside, i would say that the Corsair PSUs are no more or less likely to break down than another top manufacuters units.

ALL electronics assembly lines have a fall-out (quite high usually....even up to 7-8%).
I gauge a company and there products not only on quality but how they are seen to react when something goes wrong as all companies are good when there isnt a problem.

i have asked this question in the Scan forum and the present answer is that they only accept returns within the 1 year warranty period so this makes the 5 year warranty fairly useless.
The result is that I have taken Corsair off my manufacturer list - until they set up a UK operation or license a company to handle warranty claims.

I totally agree Oldjim, the well publicised 5 year warranty is totally useless in the UK/EU.

Corsair need to address this issue as soon as possible, the longer it takes the more people become aware. No doubt this is resulting in people choosing products from other manufactures. No company should be allowed to get away without having a reasonable system in place to cover such a heavily publicised warranty deal. All Corsair products will suffer from this situation.

A reasonable system as far as I am concerned would allow UK/EU customers to order replacement parts / have warranty work completed without sending products back to or from the USA. More importantly this reasonable system should allow UK/EU customers to pay for repairs/replacements without exposing their credit card details, i.e.. NOT requiring them to be sent by fax or email. The issue with taking payments alone is ridiculous.

Six months down the line Corsair still haven't made any changes, as Yellowbeard has pointed out its "still being worked on". What I would like to know is do Corsair take customer support seriously, as far as I can see they don't. UK/EU customers are still in the same situation as always, we currently have no viable support from Corsair.

Corsair, hang your head in shame.
