PSU works.. but doesn't.
I just bought this PSU, connected it all up, tested it, no life. (620w btw) so i try with just actual mobo cables, still no life. I take it back as dead and they get it working on one of those testing stations and all rails etc work, i bring it home connect it up and still get the same problem, no life, I connect another PSU up, same cable, same mobo cables etc. and that works. So I know the psu and the pc works, so what should i do?

by testing station, do you mean a little box that just has a little light (or a voltage reading) to say its working without putting any load on the PSU??
if so then the psu maybe fauly when it has a load on it. i would get them to test it on a proper machine |

Yeh, I looked at one on eBay earlier.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Antec-ATX-Powe...QQcmdZViewItem Could be the exact model. I will pop down tomorrow and ask for a full test or something. They (overclockers) say it could take 7-10 days but I have a 350w powering my essentials at the moment so I am not in a super rush. |

Other than testing it, I have no other suggestions. However, I would suspect some other issue if a shop tested it with a tester. Did you clear the CMOS on the board after you changed the PSU? If it is defective, please return it to your retailer or RMA with us.

Please read the manual. It will describe how to clear the CMOS. In some cases, it is necessary to clear the CMOS when making a major hardware change.
