PSU recommendations
Hi there,
Can anybody recommend a decent PSU which would be able to power the following system? I'm guessing the 3.0ghz speed of the chip and the fact it is dual core would need a high power rating. Asus Blitz Formula Special Edition MOBO DD2 1066/800 Intel Core 2 Duo 6850 2x1GB Corsair TwinX XMS2 Dominator, PC8500 (Antec p182 case.) I'm guessing the 3.0ghz speed of the chip and the fact it is dual core would need a high power rating. Many Thanks Joe |

The biggest remaining factor here will be what video card or cards you intend to buy.

Re: PSU recommendations
The hx520 if you are on a single card. It is quiet and modular too. If you are going dual, the hx620 and above would suffice. I've been hearing that only the highest end systems would need 600W or more so you need to know which gpu you are using as it is one of the most watt-consuming component

The vx series work pretty well too if you are looking to build a single gpu rig, the vx450 gives 33A on a single +12V rail, which is better than some 500W psu's |
