Corsair HX620W is not enough for my system.. What is?

I am having problem since i put in the second card to ues in crossfire with some messages in windows wich says:

Your psu might not support your graphicscard, and you gaphicscard has been clocked down to reduce enegy. This might result in slower preformance. Please ensure taht all wires have been correctly installed.

This is an translation from swedish to english if you wounder!!

Clocked core down from 601 to 500mhz, and memmory from 800(1600) to 514(1028) mhz

If i try to overclock my two cards, i only get less points than stock and computer frezes.

But if i dissconects 1 card and run single card it all works fine and i can overclock quit much..

It has to be the psu right?

i have the following in my pc:

I know Ati 2900 cards suck a hell of power and running a quad and 4 drives may just be over its limit but wait to see what yellowbeard has to say he can advise.

probably is those drives and the power hungry graphics cards. if only they researched into making them use less energy while still providing the great graphics we want.

HX620W only has 2 PCI-E power cables, two HD2900Pros will require at least 4 6-pin PCI-E cables

If your PSU version ships with 2+6pin PCI-E cables then use those in the 8pin port on your cards (if your PSU only has 6pin then you can still use them in the 8pin ports), then the remaining two 6pin ports on your cards you will need a cable adapter to convert 2 molex plugs for use in a 6pin GFX power port

you'll need two of these.

You can not simply use 1 6pin cable per card, it needs two per card.

IMHO I think the HX620 is up to the job, just about.

Hi, i have the 2+6pin (8pin) PCI-E cables connected to each card, as well as the adapters Sapphire sendt with the card, just about the same as you linked to in your reply, also connected at the same time

I will try to exchange places with these cards to see if thats the problem.

Mr Axis, based on our testing your PSU should run your system. I suggest you have the PSU replaced if the cable changes do not resolve the issue. If your vendor cannot assist you, we'll gladly replace it for you. Please let me know if I can assist.
