Re: Any new PSU's incoming?
probably the HX1000W that was pictured some months back, wouldn't be surprised if there are HX models between the 620W and the 1000W, perhaps higher models of TX too.

Re: Any new PSU's incoming?
We are always looking forward and trying to assess and keep up with what our customers want. However, one thing we do NOT want to do is to have a large bulky confusing redundant PSU lineup. And, as alluded to, I can only say so much. We don't do the early news leak or paper release thing but, we'll have something news worthy very soon. I'll post it ASAP.

Re: Any new PSU's incoming?
I don't foresee an 850w modular. Our current modular range is the HX series, 520w, 620w, and the new 1000w.

Re: Any new PSU's incoming?
Corsair I find that your psu's are first choice for me. They're effecient, quiet and very durable
![]() But even a VX450 psu can be a slight overkill for very light systems such as Small form factors or basic home pcs. Because of this i would usualy go for a slighty less powerful psu with less cables such as the antec earthwatts 380. Would you consider a VX350W? with just 4 sata, 4 molex, 1 floppy connector, I feel that this would fill in a spot for some of the power supply market segments. I am also guessing that with these specs such a psu would cost around £30-£35, this would great when competing with lower end psu's

Re: Any new PSU's incoming?
At this time I am not aware of any plans to make any small PSUs.

Re: Any new PSU's incoming?
We are always studying new potential products and we certainly value customer input. However, there are 2 problems I can think of regarding developing a PSU like what you have mentioned.
1. It is a TINY niche market that really needs a PSU that meets the spex you listed or those of the HTPC crowd for example. 2. So, with market size in the equation, it costs about the same to R&D and build a quality 350w PSU as it would to build a 450w or 550w, etc. So, we would end up making a smaller PSU but being forced to sell it for a price that is proportionally higher than our other PSUs. And, since it is a small market segment, that does not justify the front end costs. Of course, we'll always continue to monitor this situation and if it changes we'll look into feasibility. But, at this time I'd say it's not a market segment I expect Corsair to pursue. And, I am a lowly man far down the totem pole so I could be totally wrong.
