    HX620 PCI-E cable

I think the 9800GTX uses two 6 pin cables (these gfx cards are getting power hungry aren't they!!!)

    link

with my PSU I got two 6 + 2 pin cables, can I connect them backwards? so the unused 2 pin sections are up near the PSU and out of sight

also I think I'm reading that some people had 8 pin cables and needed to get the 6 + 2 pin cables sent out to them, but I've got them already - so was this something that was changed for newer stock?

No, the cables are not designed to be reversed. The locking tabs are different.

ah ok, I must admit I didn't give them a proper look, just noticed that both ends were similar

is it possible to get a cable with just the 6pin connector on it?

Use the same procedure for getting the 8 pin cable. The info is stickied here. Also, use ONLY the word CORSAIR in your email subject line to avoid the SPAM filter. Explain to customer service what you need.

    Re: HX620 PCI-E cable

    still not heard anything

perhaps it's because I already have a set of 6 + 2 pin cables and it's not worth sending out 6 pin cables, or maybe corsair don't do 6 pin on their own
