be quiet! Pure Power L8 630W Solid PSU?

I would just like to know if this is a solid psu and would be enough juice for

FX-6350, nvidia 670, 8GB Ram? not very good with PSUs so i have no idea, i understand the watts and stuff but how much it actually draws is what confuses me like the fx says it needs 125w and the 670 says it needs 170w but needs a 500w psu, i just really want to ditch this whining powercool 650w which im presuming isn't even a 650w psu more like a 500w one.

    Thanks.

You could go as low as a 500w easily but the be quiet psu is a very good one if you find it on deal

It has enough juice for your pc but it's not really a 630w psu as it only has 564w on the 12v rails. The rest is made up on the minor rails. Any modern decent psu should be able to output all of it's power on the 12v rails. It is much better than the awful Powercool you are currently using though.

What would you recommend? go for the be quiet or because at full load it should still be enough?

Bequiet sell good PSUs. HEXUS liked the one you named. Realhardtechx is down ATM but check later to see if its on later. Bequiet do not make the psu, they rebrand it so its important to know the manufacturer as this should give confidence.

It's more than enough for your pc, it's just not a particularly good psu and there are far better ones available. Although it's labelled as 630w it can only delivery 564w on the dual 30A 12v rails which is quite poor these days. A decent psu will be able to deliver it's full stated output on the 12v rails. The OEM for this model is HEC who have been hit or miss with their designs and tend to suffer from weak 12v rails. I would put them as a low-mid end OEM.

The most obvious option to me being the Cooler Master G650M for a similar price or the G550M, which is still more than enough for the mentioned system and is ~£10 cheaper.

They are better because of superior voltage regulation, and longer warranty. Still do reasonably well in the quietness stakes.

I've thought for awhile that the be quiet Pure Power L8 series is one of the few instances where HEC have produced a good unit: decent enough performance, decent enough quality, exceptional quietness, modular and price competitive.
