So I've just bought a new hard drive for my desktop to solve my current space issues, the only problem seems to be that I can't connect the SATA power connector to the new drive! I have an SSD, a 1TB HDD and an optical drive in there currently. My PSU is a Corsair RM 550 which comes with two SATA power cables with three connectors on each. One of these cables is running to the top of my case to power the optical drive and can't stretch down to power any HDDs. The other cable is currently powering my two current HDDs but because of the location of the SDD and HDD bays in the case I'm having to use the innermost and outermost connectors on that cable- the middle one is not in use as it does not stretch far enough- so I don't currently have a connector to power my new HDD. I've been looking at Corsair's website and they seem to sell a spare SATA cable with 4 connectors which should give me enough extra length to make it work but I'm not sure if it's compatible with my PSU, I've posted the link below, any help or other solutions would be much appreciated
