    Question Which PSU

    Hello Guys,

I recently upgraded to a 780ti SLI rig, and find that my o/c 3770K is not working even booting with my OCZ 750w PSU.
I need a new PSU around the 1KW range I think. Can you think of any good PSUs, could I go for an 850w and be okay?

I am looking for something silent / quiet. I am moving to a Fractal R5 from a 500R to reduce my overall noise profile.

Let me know your thoughts, budget around £150.00

    Re: Which PSU

850w would be more than enough. Here are some suggestions:-

EVGA Supernova G2 850w £109.38. A high quality gold rated unit built by Superflower (one of the worlds top OEM's) and based on their own Leadex gold platform but with no tacky leds. It's fully modular and can deliver the full 850w on the 12v rail. This unit has a whopping 10 year warranty. Review here.

XFX Pro Black Edition 850W £107.99. Gold rated unit built by Seasonic and based on their own X series platform. Fully modular with 840w on the 12v rail and has a 5 year warranty. Review here.

If you did want to go for a 1000w unit the Coolermaster V1000w at £124.98 is a excellent unit. It's another gold rated Seasonic built unit based on their own X series. Fully modular with 996w on the 12v rail and a 5 year warranty. Review here.
