    Cooler Master VS Series Gold Efficiency Hybrid Modular Power Supplies

    I can't help liking the look of these Power Supplies;
    550W for £39.98 http://www.scan.co.uk/products/550w-...n-atx-v231-psu
    650W for £49.99 http://www.scan.co.uk/products/650w-...m-atx-v231-psu
    750W for £59.99 http://www.scan.co.uk/products/750w-...id-modular-psu

    For me they seem to strike the right balance between cost & quality; so much so that I'm going to order the 550W unit for my 'other' machine.
    What could beat it for the price?

    I'm going to go with the 550w, seems like an excellent deal, and the reviews I have seen put them up there

    Very nice for that price
    review here http://www.hardwareinsights.com/wp/c...modular-v550s/
    Made by Enhance Electronics, is a decent make, Primary cap is a Panasonic, secondary caps seem to be a mix of Rubycon and Nippon Chemi-Con (yes I know caps are not the be all and end all, but often psu's are advertised with "High-grade Japanese capacitors" which is only the primary cap)

    Unless you plan to go dual graphics card later then the 550w should see you clear for a a good while, a good 550w psu like this should be plenty for any high end cpu+single gpu combo.
