I do not what to get into a debate about your job description instead I want
just highlighting that, wish or want will probably go down better

I wouldn't go as far as to say either letter of yours is rude, blunt perhaps but not rude.

You're speaking your mind and are entitled to your opinions as is everyone in this country (at the moment lol).

Just my opinion, but this last sentence seems a bit more like a cheap shot than a political argument. It may be justified, but might not show you in the best light if you choose to send further letters to the press as well. If you remain curt, but not rude, I feel any strong replies from your MP would look worse and unwarranted in comparison.

I gave it some thought already as my girlfriend agrees with you, however I think its very tongue in cheek and if he doesn't get that it should make for an all the more entertaining reply. If I get a reply this time that is, if not I will be following up with an 'argument won by me by default' letter to really get his back up.

Oh and also, I posted this on my local residents forum and a guy who lives near me works for a local paper and fancies doing a story on it, I will have to think about it a bit more and have a chat with him first.

Quick update for you, I have just sent my reply of to Mr Clelland as posted earlier I will of course post a reply if I get one.

I am not sure I will get a reply given that I just spoke to a guy who works for a news syndication company and this story will be on national and local newspaper room desks by Tuesday. It remains to be seen if any of them will pick this up, especially considering I don't want to pose for a head shot and I don't want to give up many details about myself.

MP tells hit? What are they talking about?

Nice work though and shocking reply - I've had similarly arrogant replies when writing to my Tory MP, but they were never so crass as to tell me to stick my vote as it were.

I agree with all of the points raised in your letter to your MP and applaud you for doing so. At least you are standing up for your views.
However I laugh at your righteous indignation in this case as it makes you a total hypocrite!
At least he didn't call you a moron simply because he disagreed with you.

Maybe now the shoe's on the other foot you understand that no matter how much someone's opinion angers you, it only makes you look like an idiot when you start name calling.

How on earth does that make me a hypocrite?

I disagree with you about driving 4x4, and I think you are a moron for driving one. I think he is a moron for destroying our civil liberties. If he comes on here to debate with me I would engage him the exact same way I did with you, fact is the communication was not over a forum on the internet and his response to somebody he works for was not proper.
