Re: So I write a letter to my MP...
Bloody well made me jump today. Was picking through Hexus this morning during a quiet moment, read the first page of posts in this thread before getting called away. Flicking through a copy of the Times about an hour ago, what jumped out at me from page 4 but the way topic I'd been reading about just a short while ago.
Bloody hilarious. Got to love Hexus. |

Re: So I write a letter to my MP...
if you go upto an MP and throw an Egg at them, they shouldn't try to punch you.
If you write a letter which can be percived to be rude, the MP should know a hell of a lot better than to write anything that rude. There are many ways you can insult people that leave it open to interpretation. Its just like the classics you give people for references: You'd be lucky to get x to work for you. All x's work is outstanding. etc. Enless your some kind of stupid northern type. |

Re: So I write a letter to my MP...
Apologies if some-one already posted this, but that MP is wrong to claim that 50% of the electorate voted Labour at the last general election. Unless of course he is only referring to his own constituency, but he has not made that clear!
If you include the no-shows, Labour only received 22% of the electorate's vote at the last election. If you exclude the no-shows, it was elected by just 35.3% of those who voted. |
