Re: Ghosts? I used to believe implicitly in ghosts when I was younger. I had a couple of 'supernatural' experiences (including seeing a 'Shadow Person' once) but as I get older I suspect they were merely tricks of the mind. However, I do pretty much sit on the fence on this one - it wouldn't surprise me either way (that there were such things or there weren't such things) - though I probably lean a little more to disbelief than belief. I've not really seen one but some people whose integrity I respect have and they're convinced of what they've seen/experienced. I'm always interested to hear/read about other peoples' experiences though so I'd say I'm an open-minded skeptic on the matter... Caution: I don't know a dungaree from an overall.

Re: Ghosts? IMO Most Haunted is garbage. You want to watch Ghost Hunters instead. At least they debunk things such as noisy heating and venting systems instead of walking round with a scouser with 1 finger firmly stuck in his ear ![]() Just because we can't see them doesn't mean they do not exist. Take germs for example, they've been around since we have, probably even longer, yet we've only just really been able to see them in a short time period. Just because we couldn't see them didn't make them vanish. ---- Why do Computer Scientists get Halloween and Christmas mixed up? Because Oct. 31 = Dec. 25.

Re: Ghosts? Has anyone ever spent a day googling around the internet for sites dealing in documenting paranormal activity? If you haven't, I can totally, totally recommend it. The stuff about cryptozoology I personally found fascinating, but the stuff about UFOs and ghosts can be hilarious, in a slightly cruel sort of way. One of my favourite sites had a whole section in it detailing close encounters of the first kind that mysteriously occured only at night, almost always near street lamps or other sources of outdoor light, that went unseen to the naked eye, and that were small and usually faint pentagonal UFOs almost the same colour as the light they were near. Usually during nights of light showers, too. Think about it for a moment if you need to. I think there's something magic about these people getting all excited and going out to take photographs of lamps in the hope of capturing more, and the inevitable colossal face-palm when they realise.
