    Fractal Design Node 804

    Hi All,

I have recently completed a build and had considered a 350D and Air 240 along with the Parvum S2.0. I ended up choosing something totally different....

I wanted to build into a cube type case if possible and I wanted the option of an optical drive + a number of HDDs + SSDs.

One crucial factor that made me move away from the Air 240 was its ability to house a GFX card with a non-reference cooler fitted. If you look at reviews of the Air 240 you'll see that the case can only take cards with coolers as tall as the PCI bracket. I wanted to fit something with a beefier cooler and as I mention above, I wanted something that could handle good amounts of storage.

The 350D was eventually rejected because I thought the tower would look a little out of place up on my desk (just my view) and the PSU is also on show.

I ended up going with a Fractal Design Node 804.... AWESOME CASE.

Pretty understated with fabulous storage capacity. Great cooling potential (air and water) slot loading optical drive bay etc. The amount of case you get for £75 is hugely impressive.

My build is a red/black themed one, so I removed the white/black fans and also replaced the PCI blanking plates with black ones out of an old case.

Anyway, here are pics of the rig:

    All feedback gr8fully received!
