If you want to future proof then get a good PSU from reputable brand and plenty of storage as these are most likely what move with you into future builds/upgrades cycle. DDR 3 1333mhz is going to be around for a little while even though trends are pointing to 1600.

Celeron or Athlon AM3 give you room to upgrade. For cases check out gumtree and ebay as you might be able to pick up Lian Li for less than 50 if you like their designs. Same for monitor or see if someone has a spare.

So this will be my final build:

    CPU:*£66/AMD A6 3670K/Amazon
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B006...=hotukdeals-21

    RAM:*£33/PNY 8GB DDR3 1600MHz/Kikatek
    http://www.kikatek.com/product_info....ucts_id=210642

    HDD:*£37/Weatern Digital 320GB 7200rpm/Amazon
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B000...0808103&sr=1-6

    Motherboard:*£47/Asrock A75M A75mATX/eBuyer
    http://m.ebuyer.com/274051

    £37/XFX Pro Core Edition 450W/Scans
    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/450w-...oogle+shopping

    Monitor:*£63/Philips 196V3LSB LCD 18.5"/Dabs
    http://m.ebuyer.com/363971

    Case:*£33/Ace Ecco 250 Toolless mATX/Scan
    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/ace-e...proofed-no-psu

    Optical Drive:*£17/Pioneer 219LBK DVDRW Lightscribe/Scans
    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/pione...oem-labelflash

    Mouse & Keyboard: £15/Microsoft Wired Desktop 400/eBuyer
    http://m.ebuyer.com/255302

With a total of £348! I am happy with this as the only upgrades I feel I will need in the future is an SSD & maybe a graphics card, it should last me a long time for my needs.

Thanks for your help and recommendations, if I get enough from selling my computers and computer parts on eBay I'll buy & build it next week.

Remember, you can get cashback on Ebuyer purchases:

    http://www.topcashback.co.uk/ebuyer/

    http://www.quidco.com/ebuyer/

You can also get Nectar points on Amazon purchases AFAIK.

When you do get down to doing the build,it would be great to get some pictures of the build. The case looks very interesting especially with the way the hard drives are mounted. The feedback would be good for anyone considering the case on this forum.

Brilliant the ebuyer cash back plus the amd cash back will take abit of the total price.

Yes when I have built it I will post some pictures, final price, component list and benchmarks for anyone else considering a similar build, thanks again for the help.
