If your going to build a gaming rig you might as well stretch to a i5 4670K to get the most out of it.

Amazon are slightly more expensive o the motherboard but almost £23 cheaper on the chip. For a total of £258:96 delivered.
Also if you dont need to store lots of files replace the seagate with a SSD like :

or a hybrid drive as a compromise between both

Its good, if you can get more money then the above is recommended
I would also recommend an SSD if the budget can stretch to one, even if it is just for windows it will make a big difference to the responsiveness of the system.
As for GPU, You can probably pick up a used GTX 780 on ebay for around £180 that will be faster/quieter/cooler than the r9 280x. I know they go cheap because I am trying to sell on at the moment.
It is worth a look at buying used components you may forsake a warranty but you may also get a real bargain.
And also, I'd go for a i5 4670K. You'll get more out of it and it will probably last you longer with the increased OC potential. Also, I would tell you to get a nice aftermarket cpu cooler. It doesn't have to be anything fancy and most are pretty cheap but they can really change your cpu temps.
