With a 500R now hosting the bits - HELL YEAH! System no longer sounds like busy hour at Heathrow.

Couldn't get iSRT to accelerate the HDD with the M.2 drive. Whilst Intel says iSRT supports PCI-Ex drives, there are some suggestions that it doesn't when said M.2 drive is also the boot drive. Slapped a Sandisk drive in and voila!

Fury rtoo big to use the rear fan mount with the H100i in the roof, so now squeezed into the front. Removed a 3.5" bay and reversed one of the front 12cm fans for push-pull configuration. Seems to work well - the radiator fan only spins up to @1500 rpm now at full chat, so is nice and quiet. Front of the case is getting VERY warm though.

Still some tidying up to do, and finishing off the soundproofing.

Frame Rate Control isn't doing anything, but I believe that's because I'm running WoT (DX9 title).

Oh, and not bothering with Corsair Link. Doesn't seem worth the effort.

I'm putting in my vote for pics, it sounds like they will make for interesting viewing, I really want to see how your creative problem solving has worked out with the rads.

    Re: New build

I'd suggest a 980 Ti over a fury X. But I guess it depends what the prices are where you live and what prices you can get. Either way I'm sure you're going to have an awesome build

Another one who needs to read the whole thread instead of just posting comments to boost his post count up.

    Re: New build

Apologies to those expecting pics, and thanks to all those suggesting I buy nvidia for a system already built!

Dublin again so difficult progress. Mulling an offer of work based in the UK. Or should I say I'm mulling it, the missus is banking on it!

The final build since slapping it into the corsair box was pretty boring in the end. Just need to tidy up the cabling, then work out how to post pictures )

It does seem that some of the people posting on here are a little out of touch, you posted to say what you ordered on page 1 and we are on the third page already lol. At least they aren't suggesting Voodoo or 3dfx cards.

I can't wait to see what you've put together.
