    What GFX Card?

    Hello all,
I have just ordered the 3XS H61 Performance GTS. On the first page it says the GFX card is a 2GB Nvidia GeForce GTX 650 graphics card but on the full specs it says its a 1GB EVGA GTX 650.
Can anyone shed any light on it?

Also what sort of performance am I looking to get out of this machine? I understand its not going to break any records here, only need it for light gaming really.

    Thanks,

    Owen

If you are gaming get the HD7770 instead of a GTX650:

It costs the same as a GTX650.

Hi CAT it comes as part of the bundle so I can't change and I've already ordered. Reviews for the 2gig gtx650 are a lot better than the 1 gig so wondering what I will get

    You can change it though:

    http://3xs.scan.co.uk/ConfigureSystem.asp?SystemID=979

It says a 1GB GTX650 non-TI in the components list.

Moreover, you can always tell Scan to change it. I really doubt another 1GB of VRAM on a GTX650 would make much difference. Remember the GTX650 and GTX650TI are very different GPUs. The GTX650TI has shown a decent improvement in Skyrim with 2GB and the same goes with the HD7850 2GB too, however the GPUs are faster. However, the HD7770 GPU is just generally faster overall than the one in the GTX650 non-TI.

    Re: What GFX Card?

The HD7770 costs around the same as the GTX650 if you look at the system configurator,so no need to pay more!!

Upgrades include the GTX650TI 1GB for £29 more or the HD7850 2GB for £50 more than a GTX650/HD7770. The HD7850 is worth it IMHO.

    Edit!!

I would also add the 8GB of RAM option for around £9 more. A Core i3 3220, an HD7850 2GB and 8GB should be not too bad even for a bit of BF3 MP I suspect.

I have a Core i3 2100 and an HD5850 1GB which can still run a decent amount of games at 1680X1050 using reasonable settings.

Haha, I really should of looked at that system configurator before I ordered it! I'll give them a bell tomorrow and see even though the finance thing was for the system with the other gfx card if I can just pay the extra £50 cash and get the 7850. Don't want to be stuttering around all the games!
