    Scan have been let down

Really sorry that my firsy post on here is negative. Unfortunately Scan have been totally let down by there couriers and left me absolutley fuming.

Ordered my Corsair H50 yesterday and paid the £20 for Saturday delivery because i really didnt want to wait till Tuesday and it would be nice to have all Saturday to bench and play. Got slightly confused when i got home from work after ordering though as i had an email saying there was no stock althought that was superceeded by another email saying it had been despatched and was on route so didn't worry

Later that evening i checked city link web site with my tracking number and all was well and my H50 was on the way. Any way i made sure i was up by 7.30 Saturday morning (thats a very big deal for me) and waited downstairs till 12 but still no delivery. I decided to call City link as we were waiting to go out by now, the lady at city link contacted the depot who contacted the driver and we were told that it would be here in 30-45 mins just had a couple more delivers but would get it. 2 hours later H50has not shown up and city link are now closed.

If they had said at 12 when i called that the delivery wasn't going to be possible i would of been anoyed but no where near as much as i am after having city link blatantly lie to me. I am sure on Tuesday when i phone City link to complain they will give me some shaggy dog story and i am also sure that when i get through to Scan on Tuesday that they will refund my Saturday delivery but that isn't the point. The point is a paid for a service that was not supplied, city link blatantly lied to me and i have been greatly inconvenienced on my day off.

As i said this has left me with a very bitter taste in my mouth but dont know that i will order anything from Scan again where i am dependant on the delivery being here my a certain date (especially at £20 ago)

Hopefully my future posts will be of a better tone.

A lot of Saturday and Evening deliveries are cons, Amtrak never used to bother delivering evening shipments at all. Your best bet if you do need saturday delivery is to confirm that you can get the postage refunded, as more often than not you will not receive your stuff until the next working day.

Yep Learned a long time ago paying extra for timed deliveries can be a lottery.
I paid the princely sum of £3 to upgrade to next working day from Special reserve (a games/console supplier since faded away). I received my package weirdly 6 days later on a Sunday morning by a delivery guy in his own car after querying where it had got to after the 4th day.
So I learned next working day is from point of despatch. It was 'in progress' 3 days until despatch.... And who knows what happened to get it delivered in that way.

I remember Special Reserve, I used to be a member, but since most of their shops were based in Essex I used to go there in person if I needed anything. I kind of wish they did still exist, as it meant same day hardware
They closed their retail shops to focus on their web hosting services, Freeola.
