    Faulty motherboard, No fault found!

I recently bought an asus motherboard and it arrived fine, got the rest of my parts in the next few weeks and started building my computer and turned it on to find no display of any kind. So i turned it off and made sure all the cables were in properly and tried again to the same outcome. Unsure of what part might be broken i swapped components from another computer to find the faulty one which was the motherboard as all my other components worked perfectly in another motherboard.

I RMA'd the motherboard and about a week later i get an email saying it has been tested with no faults however i am adamant there is. If could someone please look into this for me i would be very grateful

    Thanks.

    thank for your comments.

all my parts are definitely compatible as i took a fair amount of time choosing and making sure they actually work together. I tried then in my mates MB which is 790GX chipset and it worked fine then i retried my own and everything powers on perfectly but I get absolutely no response on my moniter, i tried vga, dvi and hdmi.

Re: Faulty motherboard, No fault found!

    Hi,

I have requested information from the testing manager as to what components were tested with the returned motherboard.

Once I have this information I will update the thread.

    Regards

That seems possible bulldog. The board itself supports the cpu but perhaps the BIOS is the problem.

Re: Faulty motherboard, No fault found!

    Hi,

I can confirm the following parts were tested in the returned motherboard:

    700w Silverstone
    Phenom 2 955
    1gb 1333 ddr3

We tested using both the onboard VGA and in addition a PCI-E graphics card.

The board powered up and displayed fine using both. The original fault reported was that the board powered however there was no output to monitor.

    Regards

Thanks for the info but how do i go about getting it back or what not.

EDIT: Can i ask what BIOS you used as a poster earlier suggest that could have caused the problem
