I bought a Pioneer Blu-ray writer from yourselves when I bought the rest of my PC bundle, obviously with previous problems I have only just got around to using the computer as intended. I have connected the drive correctly to the computer and installed the software provided to get Blu-ray playback but the software supplied isn't supported. I have contacted Pioneer and this was their response:
I have also wrote off to CyberLink (the software company) to see if they are able to assist at all but from what I've read on Google PowerDVD 9 doesn't support modern day systems which means that drive is shipping without a way to do what it's intended for.Good Morning
This will be something that you will need to take up with your dealer as
pioneer no longer produce or supply optical disc drives for the UK or
European market, this device would have been sourced from abroad, and
software that is supplied with this product would have been added by the
supplying dealer.
So please contact them to resolve your issue.
Kind regards
I would appreciate it if someone can look in to this and advise.
Best regards,
Rookie

. I actually bought a samsung bluray drive over a year ago now (probably year and a half) and it came with powerdvd 9, worked for a bit but then they released updates and it basically broke itself, cyberlink made it fail to play most blurays and newer blurays wouldnt play unless you updated to the latest version of power dvd 9 so you couldnt avoid these updates, basically they screwed it so you have to buy the newest to play it
. Eventually i just used a trial of anydvd hd and vlc player and it works, however i like powerdvd as it supports all the hd audio etc.
