    Faulty Samsung blu-ray drive

    Hi,

I raised an RMA for a Blu-ray drive (Samsung SH-B123L) that is less than 12 months old. It has stopped reading Blu-ray discs, though it works with other types. I was told to call Samsung as they would deal with it directly.

However, Samsung says they don't cover these drives, and gave me an international number to call for support. I'm not making international calls/posting this abroad to get it fixed, so can you help me with this further?

Well, I called 00800 8010 8011, which apparently is an international free call, and is the number for Samsung optical drives (not the one given by you in the RMA).

They told me the drive is faulty, but they only receive drives for RMA over 12 months old, and that the retailer replaces drives before then.

Do I need to raise another RMA, or can you re-open the existing one?

    Hi,

The RMA was received and confirmed as faulty, but you've been showing the drive (LN35563) as out of stock since. Any idea when I will be able to get a replacement?
