    Scan not accepting transaction

I have been about 3 hours on the phone to both my bank and scan, in trying to get my transaction through.I went to the bank this morning and made sure there was enough credit in the card.I tried to make the transaction today for around £500, twice.
Scan have told me that the problem lies with the Visa secure password, This could not be the case because i proceeded through the password verification for Visa and secondly my bank told me that it would have stated a problem on their system upon checkup.
I'm not sure exactly whats happened but i am dissappointed with the service i received. Could I get a straight answer please?

    Re: Scan not accepting transaction

It looks like it did fail to go through the Visa Verification and declined.

If you can place your order again, it should go through. If you are having any issues with placing the order, let me know and I'll ask someone to callback for you tomorrow.

If you do get any issues - please contact the retail sales team (Option 2, option 1) and they can go through the order with you over the telephone.

    Re: Scan not accepting transaction

    Where are you currently based?

I can see from the attempts that the payment sessions were attempted while you are located outside the UK as the IP address for 1 of the session is located in Canada and the other in the US respectively. If this is the case and you are currently outside the UK, then we would not be able to process any card payments.

    Best Regards,

I'm using privoxy its safer for online transactions. I will try one more time without privoxy.

    Re: Scan not accepting transaction

It looks like not using the proxy has worked as I can see that an order has gone through today (23rd Nov) and has been authorised by the card issuer.

sorry to hijack this post, but that baffled me a bit.

Was wondering how privoxy is safer for onlne transactions?

I would have assumed sending data through more systems than is required , eg. to usa proxy and back again, would not be that much safer.

Sure still safe, with ssl etc, but tbh, I prefer myself directest route possible.

Because its encrypted with SSL and hides your real IP ect, I use SwissVPN
