EVGA Backplate

Hi,

On Thursday I ordered an EVGA GTX970 SC AX2.0 having already looked at it on the EVGA website I noticed it came with a backplate which would look rather nice in my system with the Corsair Air 540 windowed case which I ordered at the same time.

The card was on today only which I thought was a bonus. The card arrived but no backplate, after looking through all the packaging its obviously not here, so I sent an OLQ 1470717. Just to be told that I should have ordered a different bundle, so thats the exact same card, the only difference was this backplate.

No mention on the EVGA site about bundles, just says when you order this particular card.

Anyway no fear, I replied back and asked whether they could just add it to the order of the PSU that is being sent out today. Was told no :/ Because apparently Nvidia only send out a certain amount, hmm right, I thought it was an EVGA promotion and in either case the part number is the same so I dont really understand why it couldn't have been added.

I will say I don't like complaining about things and I will put my hands up and say if I had looked into it further then I may have seen the bundle with the free backplate however I was going under the assumption that the EVGA site states it comes free with any order of that card.

I have been told that I can return the card, just to order the same card with the backplate. To be honest that seems a bit around the houses and on this occasion, for a company that has renowned customer service, I think you could have helped me out a bit here.

And this is the part from the article which I was referring to :-

"When purchased at participating locations, the backplate will automatically be included with the purchase, all you need to do is a simple installation."
