Smile Thinking of RMAing Corsair Memory

    Hi folks

In short my PC wont get past POST. I tested the memory (Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400C3DF) in another PC and got errors in Memtest86+. Getting some cheap memory tomorrow to test in my own PC. Depending on the outcome I will RMA the memory.

I do not have the original cardboard box for the memory. Would I be expected to return the matched pair of modules on their own, or the whole cabodle including original packaging and memery cooler fan thingy? Any help welcome.

PS Shopped at Scan for a few years now, no complaints, yet ;-)

you can ram it directly with Corsair http://www.corsair.com/warranty/rma_form.aspx, and need to send them both the stick and the original packaging is not needed.

There is a Corsair.care forum on HEXUS: http://forums.hexus.net/corsair-care-hexus/ They do not have a UK office / returns dept.

You can send back to Scan. You will need to go through the online RMA procedure.

    Thanks nickp

That's what I feared, I don't fancy sending abroad if I can help it. But if Scan require the original cardboard box to be returned I may have to

    Phew! Will do.

Some people are suggesting that it might be safest to "underclock" this memory and run it at a lower voltage than specified from Corsair.

I noticed that the Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400C3DF (800 Mhz) kits have been dropped from Scans website in the last few days. Any particular reason for this I wonder !?!
