I was going to phone a company to enquire and wondered if I was to ask for "Gee-zero" or "go". I guess G0 is the correct term, but for some reason I wont to say "go" Due to this confusion, I decided not to call

Maybe they they didnt chose B4 because it came AFTER B3!! I guess W8 would have been a better version

Edit: Quick question while we wait. 512MB RX1950 XT or 8800 GTS 320MB?
When do you plan on upgrading from this purchase?

The 1950 is a good dx9 card which is great value. The 8800 is a better dx9 card which isn't as good value & does dx10.

If you agree with the argument that there won't be dx10 exclusive games around for a year or two & by then they'll all be dx10.1 or above (which isn't backwards compatible), if you want dx10 you'll want to upgrade to a second gen or later dx10 card when they become available.

In that case it makes good sense to go with the better value 1950 for the short term.

OTOH if you think that's all rubbish, or you won't/can't upgrade to a second gen dx10 card in the next six to twelve months, or you simply have wodges of cash lying about, go for the 8800 you mention.

That's the dilemma I suppose. Better value now and an earlier upgrade, or, pay more now and upgrade a bit later.....

    Oh, the agony of choice.

Well, I found a place in the UK that stocks the G0 Stepping so I just went and ordered one. Should be with me tomorrow.

At least I ordered the Motherboard and fan from Scan. I might even order a new HD to go with it

I will let you know how well it clocks.

When buying PC components buy what you can when you need it and if you can stick within your budget. I have held off buying the core computer components until the Go's are released.
