Asus P5KC Bios Failure

My motherboard will not boot after trying to update the bios i was wondering what you would advise? (Scan) On the official Asus forums this is a response "Unless your systems will boot from a bootable DOS floppy disk, and since the CMOS is soldered on the board, the only other option is to return the boards for repair." many thanks

: ps... my Cmos isn't soldered on, does scan have replacement chips?
