Noctura S12B description and Lian Li PC7FB with a Megahalems

Hi there, I have two queries:

First is with the two Noctua S12B fans. I believe the CFM figures quoted are actualy m3/h. Could someone verify and/or ammend this as required?

Oh it is... but not because it can deliever 100 CFM, that would just be like an epic bonus.

The S12B's though seem to be complete rubbish from what I've heard when used with grills/radiators with high restriction to air flow. Noctua's site confirms this. The static pressure the fan produces is very low compared to others.

I guess if you just want to blow air around your case then it's fine - I'm planning on getting one to replace an internal case fan.

Yes. They need to be applied to situations where you want non-restrictive airflow. In that they make very good exhaust fans, and certain, but not all, intake points will be better with a S12B... for any restrictive flow you need to use P12s.

If you cannot answer my question about the clearance of the heatsink, can I ask if the person I am helping got ScanCare, would the HeatSink not fitting inside the case be covered by your ScanCare service?

The dimensions for the case and fan appear to be okay, but unfortunately we do not have a list to refer to to find out which coolers can fit within certain models of cases.

158.7 MM fan height
210 MM case width

Going by the information above, there is going to be around 5.1 cm space to factor in the side panels and also the motherboard being raised from the back of the chassis.

if the cooler does not fit for whatever reason, you can return it within 7 days for a refund and then purchase a cooler which you will now will fit.

Thank you Lee. I will impart this piece of knowledge to the person in quesiton. I am confident it will fit, however, so I doubt he will need to return it.
