In a moment of utter fail I appeared to have moved the original post and failed to move the rest of the thread. I've not got access to merge to the other forum so if anyone from Hexus could do so it'd be sweet.

The original post is here : http://forums.hexus.net/scan-3xs-sys...new-build.html

Re: New build - Parts Advice

I put up with a 4870x2 (along with other dodginess, so it might not entirely be the 4870x2 that was at fault) for almost a year before finally giving up and sending it all back for a refund, I posted on http://forums.hexus.net/hexus-hardwa...periences.html - I'm also looking at a new build now! I think the issues a lot of games have with more than one graphics core is just not worth it for the few that do deal with it well, and the overheating/instability (again might not be entirely due to the choice of graphics card, but fairly sure it played a part or I just got two crap ones in a row - Overclockers sent me ones that were supposedly Sapphire but didn't actually have the branding on them, I was told OEM but I get the feeling they might resend broken ones they get in to other people in the hopes they might work in some sadistic parody of recycling) was a nightmare.

Re: New build - Parts Advice

COD4, CODMW2, GRID, also hoping to play Dirt 2 when i upgrade my OS.

Reso - no more than 1440 x 900 as its all my --->monitor<--- supports, until i upgrade it, which i don't plan on for awhile as i'm quite happy with it as of this moment.
