When I get a bug I get a bug and just recently building my 'new' home 'media server' out of old 975mobo E6600 cpu and 2Gb 533Ram lying around I have started to spend spend spend and tricking it up while I load my CD collection on while at work ( currently just passed 800songs and just getting to letter C of the alphabet....) before I take it home and plumb it into the HT amp/TV etc...


I think I am a convert to Lian-Li kit after transplanting my recent build (with old parts) from the crappy Cit case to the A05NB .....I managed to get hold of a C-02B DVD bezel to match the rest of the case (why don't Scan list them? and why don't they come as std with the case?). It makes the case look well trick and it might even pass SWMBO'd fairly critical aesthetic eye.....

After discovering how quiet Lian-Li's fans really are (and realising I had a slight temp issue with the northbridge and my passive gpu) I also fitted one of Lian-Li's PCI slot based 2 x 120mm ducting fams which suckes air through the PCI card slot holes and blows it through the case. It reduced the GPUtemp by 6 degrees and the northbridge by 10 degrees!!!

I am wondering whether and when Scan be restocking this:

as I see that as an excellent soultion to one problem I face namely finding the correct usb cable for the specific camera/phone etc that is being emptied. Nobody in the uK seems to have one at the moment.
