I've got something else in the works too, just testing it out on the Hairy Haggis. If it works properly I plan to roll it out to all the Scan servers.

Just had a blaze disconnect on #4. Had one with the Hairy Haggis today as well. EA really needs to upgrade the back-end to cope with the double XP event load.

Hi, I was wondering if there is any chance of having a "Noob-low level " server, so we can learn the ropes a bit, instead of jumping in the deep end and spending more time spawning than playing? They have these types of areas on blacklight retribution, and it works quite well.

A new player only server is probably the most requested server type I get asked for after Hardcore. Making it a true new player server, meaning experienced players are actually kicked, instead of just having "n00bs only" in the server name with one high level rank 100 player farming kills is the tricky part.

Thanks to Singhs favourite plugin, Insane Limits, we actually have the tool needed to automatically remove experienced players. The problem is defining what an experienced player is? Sure it sounds simple the problem is if you limit things too much hardly anyone can join the server and the server empties out rapidly.

We could spend hours reconfiguring a server and testing settings but I don't think it'll actually improve things over what we have now. The current Team Balancer is balancing the teams nicely so 99% of the time you should be in a game were the best players are split between each team.

Apart from that its up to you to improve. Fastest way to do that is join a Platoon who uses VoIP. You'll have a lot more warning about enemy movements giving you time to think while always having a safe predictable spawn point on your platoon members. Nothing worse then being on your own spawning in at a point being attacked.

The problem is how do you define a noob player vs a pro player. There is no real indicate of skill. Rank, SPM, Skill, KDR, Accuracy mean nothing when trying to filter out noob vs pro. I think it's an idea that is doomed from the beginning.

Also, the vote-kick/vote-ban plugin on rconNET is broken. When a player starts a vote on any player, it only announces to the vote starter side. So the enemy team doesn't know who they are voting for. The first clue the opposing team has is when they start spamming !yes or !no.

In this case, they were voting against me.

I've disabled my KPM code/limit in Insane Limits on all the Scan servers. The latest update [to ProCon] breaks it for some reason.

Forgot to mention that ProCon v1.3 has been released, so the layer(s) will all need to be updated. Hopefully the service provider will do them automatically.

I've checked a few times today and the layers still seem to be the old 1.2.0.0 version.

I think they are a US based company which would mean they are some hours behind us. Hopefully it'll be sorted for tomorrow.

I wasn't expecting an instant update since the servers require .Net updating too.
