The 32 slot rush server just kicked everyone after getting full


A Platoon mate just pointed me to a fix which I hope works. Testing it now.

Yep, i noticed ... i logged into clanforge and it was full logged out about 30 seconds later and it was empty ....

maybe someone farted ?

3 now fully populated and the others are filling up too

There is a sticky on the Battlelog forums which has the fix explained. I listed our servers in that topic. Generating a lot of server traffic!

Need rconNET and an army of admins now. Didn't realise how tricky it would be to keep an eye on so many servers at once!
If anyone here is going on the Scan servers today. Signup on Metabans and list your username here. You can help keep the trouble makers out.

Server 2 has the rconNET trial running. Matty and you should take a look to see what you think while the server is full.

All but 2 servers are fully populated, although server #4 show 64/32 players which is a but weird and the CPU usage is at 80% which is a little worrying.

Server #4 is running mixed mode. So Conquest64 followed by Rush32 but with 64 players. The correct number is shown on battlelog. Its just a Procon/GameTracker/Clanforge issue as they don't seem to recognise you can have more then 32 players on Rush with a little tweaking.

CPU usage is indeed too high. Already have a ticket logged for that. Its 20-30% higher then our platoons server with the same settings

Is there any reason why Server #7 has been switched back to Rush/Conquest instead of it being TDM?

I thought that the TDM server had proved to be quite popular, or has it reverted with the changes that are having to be made today?

My bad boys, you are right. I remember playing a round of SQDM with a tank floating around. It wasn't nice. I assumed it was true of TDM as well.

That was one thing that really annoyed me about trying to unlock the L85A2, it was pretty much impossible if another squad had got the IFV and the driver was half decent.

I had to reboot the servers. I'm guessing you didn't have time to look into configuring profiles on clanforge so its reverted to the profile I set losing those changes you made in Procon.

Things coming to the end of a pretty epic day. Highest peak I saw was 187 concurrent players on scan servers.

The biggest thing I've learned from today is we are going to need more people with Metabans patrolling on the servers to keep the hackers and idiots out.
We had 2 hackers today. One half cleared the 64 slot server before I noticed. Then we had a couple of really offensive individuals who gave out a never ending stream of abuse that actually cleared two servers

Just been playing on Scan #4, had a really good game went 51-1. At the end of the round, everyone crashed out. Me included. It went from 36/64 to 2/6. Not sure what happened? Just letting you know so one of you can look at the log files. It was round one of Rush Tehran Highway.

Aye, not many hackers get onto my server. Tons of preventive measures in place. But I can't catch them all. Had one named 30459085andrey slip past, with so little hours the stats weren't past my trigger limits. He was only on the server <5 mins, and managed to clear it out completely from full



I was gutted because I'd left my desk for like 2 mins and he turned up. But the time I'd got back, server was dead. Anyway, I flagged him on MetaBans ASAP. Then did a little investigation, and found a friend of his (ShimmeringDragon) was hacking. So I flagged his ass on MetaBans too

Annoying thing is PBSS were either blank or "clean". So I can't submit to either GGC or PBBans.

Most hacks show up like that anyway on PBSS, seems its not all that difficult to bypass

I'd like to thank you all for the hard work. From the pint of view of a random pubber who can only get a few hours a week, a clean server is much appreciated.
Moving from our batteles with OCUK and on scan servers public matches are horrible.

Best way to help keep the servers clean Phage, is help yourself. Signup to Metabans.com and I'll follow your reports/bans. Of all the tools available to server admins to keep the servers free from hackers. Metabans is the best because it empowers every players to moderator the game themselves.

Still mega high CPU usage
There looks to of been a blaze disconnect that kicked everyone at the end of your game
The server crashed on its own in the middle of the night
My internet looks like it dropped earlier this morning kicking a couple of people.
Procon had soaked up nearly 500MBs of memory. Possible memory leak?

Hopefully Steve can sort us out with some RCON hosting this week. That will fix the last two problems. Already have Multiplay looking into the CPU usage. While there is nothing we can do about a Blaze disconnect

The CPU issue should now be sorted, we had 4 servers offline this morning whilst they fixed the issues last night so that was probably why you got kicked.

RCON should be sorted today hopefully so we can add all servers.

I am keeping any eye on the metabans throughout the day, although still have to get to know exactly how it works (although it does look fairly straight forward).

Ah ok. Any ideas what the problem was they have fixed?
Also do you have a ticket reference? I'll close the ticket I have open so things don't get confusing.

They didnt say what the issue was they just said they fixed and its now running at normal levels
