    External Bluray Reader/Writer

Is this the cheapest one @ Scan?
    LN44958
external Blu-ray DVD Writer from Pioneer the BDR-XD04T via USB 2.0
    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/pione...er-usb-powered

It doesnt have to do write, but cant see any usb/external mini ones other than this except one by Asus for 20p less that does BR reading?

If anyone has experience of the Pio (or others) and would like to comment it would be appreciated!

    OK found this one too

but would probably go for the Pio writer as not so big price difference for the capability and is more compact too

The disc I bought him when I bought him the drive were our reference LN29936 - A-ONE F/F printable 25 GB.

They're good enough for what we were using them for (data backup) as spanning DVD's takes too long now

Cheers Lee, sounds fine, i've used the Aone dvd dual layers on and off.
Would prefer non printables, but doesnt really matter considering price advantage.
As you say spanning isnt fun, its much neater to have it all on one disk!
