"The famous Scan Today Only page..." is going down hill fast

Fri-Tue, what's that all about? Regrettably you trot out the same page's week after week and now you can't even be bothered to update on a daily basis any more.

Dabs are regularly beating you on graphics cards pricing and OKUK are regularly beating you on TFT Monitor pricing, a sad state of affairs.

Sometimes its a Tues+Weds too, dont know if thats regular but happened a couple of weeks back

In short, you've got the choice between much smaller selections and daily offers, or a larger range of discounts that apply for longer - for most people the latter is beneficial as it means you're more likely to get discounts on more of the products that you order. It's still a very frequent range of offers, that change often.

And for the comments that Scan aren't the cheapest at everything in the world all the time.. well really? What did you expect? They thankfully aren't a monopoly, they're a business that's been successful for an incredibly long time in the field.

Yeah, it seems that scan are trading on past performance these days, rather than being the place to go to for deals and customer service.

But, you know, you can shop elsewhere....

and while on the subject of today only.....I check it regularly and don't ever remember seeing any FM2 components (hell, I can't even remember seeing FM1 components...)

Were not the cheapest on everything and never will be, there are also Price lead customer's who will flick across etailor's simply to get the best price, there are customer's who look at other factors such as stock levels, Customer Service, there is a balance to look here taking into account all of these factors.

I've checked Monitors, a handful are cheaper, on the other hand a massive number are cheaper at SCAN.

GPU we are a top seller for NVIDIA because we have the stock, were not advertising very low prices without the stock sell.

If giving a much larger offer's page, providing the benefits already discussed we believe is a plus point.

In general we are still offering good prices and have increased the avenue's of FREE CS over the passed months as well.

I really don't care if the Today Only" products stay up for a day, or two days, or come round regularly - it gives me a chance to grab a considered bargain. And any discount, large or small is always welcome if it is on a product I might have bought anyway. So crack on SCAN!

The retail market is constantly changing, as the range of products featured on "Today Only" over the years would show. And while some items may be cheaper from othe retailers, buying everything from one (particularly with the free shipping) can be more convenient.

I think the best thing a company can offer is great customer service then people can often overlook an extra £5 or so. Tbh i don't find Scan expensive compared to a few pc-etailers that i look/check on.

I have often found that scan are the cheapest in most cases, often cheaper than even amazon. I'm lucky in that I live a few miles away so I can collect in person, I say I'm lucky but it costs me a fortune lol.

Yeah, definitely. Always comparing price, though some companies i haven't tried before like ccl and a few others. CS, delivery cost i usually try to check on first.
