    Angry BenQ BL3200PT mega delay

I ordered this on the 3rd of July as it had a due date of 7th of July. My work had supplied me with the funds to purchase this monitor and expected me to start working by the 9th. On the 7th I get a delayed order notification (which I didn't receive as our email host was having issues) and the delivery guy never showed so I was waiting in all day for nothing. After a call I'm told it should be in during the next few days so I called work and told them the situation and understood. Well a few days pass without any communication and... nothing. After calling again I'm told it should be in on the 16th and I should have it on the 17th so again I call work and tell them I should have it on the 17th. on the 16th I receive -another- delayed order notification and I notice that the listing on the website has a new lead date of the 18th. Scan have told me they'll do a Saturday delivery so I've now told work I will have the monitor on the 19th, It's still the 18th and it's midday and after calling Scan they don't yet have it in but it -could- be in later today.

Work have told me to wait in for the parcel tomorrow and if it does not show up to either get a refund or to do a chargeback and they will order the monitor for me (US) and ship it to the UK on the fastest available delivery service since it'll be a lot quicker than just waiting around and playing the guessing game.

I have had to keep calling Scan and getting told "it could be in later today or tomorrow" for over 2 and a half weeks until a few days ago when they updated their listing with a new lead date. I understand that Scan have no control over their sometimes unreliable distributors but this is making me look really bad, I am almost 100% positive that work think I've spent the money elsewhere or pocketed it particularly because everyone on our development team has also been given money to order the new monitor and they all have theirs (2 in Europe, 1 in Australia and the rest in various states in the USA) and I am now the only one who doesn't. Scan have said they can do a refund which is good as it saves a trip to the bank to do a chargeback but this just means I will now get less than half my normal wage at the end of the month.

As I said I know it's not exactly Scan's fault but this system or something needs to change and be made a hell of a lot more reliable, if there is a long delay then put it on the product page so people know what they are getting themselves into, maybe keep a track record of the different distributors and put notices on the product pages from said distributors. If I knew I was going to be waiting this long I'd have ordered it from Europe or the States

You could have always ordered a monitor that was in stock?

If it was for my personal use I would have done that the first time it got delayed, unfortunately work sent me funds to buy this specific make/model as the rest of the development team all have the same display so I cannot change the order.
