    Asus gtx 670

I purchased an ASUS GTX 670 DirectCU II TOP Edition from you in June 2012. I've had absolutely no issues with the card until recently when playing Battlefield 4 & Archeage my temperatures have hit 96c causing my the card to shut off to prevent any further damage. When I started it back up again, I ran Heaven benchmark and managed to reproduce those temperatures but used a custom fan curve to keep It a little cooler, however it repeated the same issue a further 2/3 times before returning to It's normal 70c temperature and working for for the next week and a half when again, out of no where It overheats in the middle of a BF4 game.

I've been in contact with Scan about this already as I was having problems diagnosing the issues and come off non the wiser, I've checked for cables hitting any of the fans, I've reseated the graphics card etc. One thing I've noticed since the issue occurred is a slight ticking/clicking noise that seems to be coming from the graphics card itself.

Clearly, something is wrong here but I've been told I'll have to pay the NFF If I send it back and nothing is found, how exactly am I supposed to solve this issue If I can't get it tested without incurring a charge.

Graphics card purchase date: June 2012
PC built by 3XS (of which they installed the card for me): May 2013

    Sw1ftY ,

I am sorry to hear about the problems with your graphics card. Please ensure the card is clean and free from dust, if possible are you able to check the card inside another PC to see if the fault follows the card?

If the card is returned and tested to be faulty you would not incur any charges.

    Kind regards,

The card is clean and free from dust this was the first step I took. I don't have another PC to test it in. I do however seem to see a dip in the end of the card possibly where it's too heavy to support itself?

When you experience the issue, see if you can see if the fans are all going. Don't know if you have a windowed case or not which would obviously make it easier. Could be an intermittent bearing issue with one of the two fans which owuld cause your clicking noise and lead to higher temps.

    Re: Asus gtx 670

The fans were working as expected, even set a custom fan curve to try make them run a little higher. The only way I seem to be able to keep the card fully cooled below 70c is by having my Corsair H100i turned up full blast.
