    Computer is broken, any help?

Hello, my computer is currently having a problem with displaying a picture on my monitor. I've owned it for 26 days and I came across this Scansure thing but I don't know if that comes in to play or not. Any help would be greatful, thank you.

Hi Moonschool, welcome to the Hexus forums.

Sorry to hear about your issues, I would recommend calling Scan at 9:00am on Monday in order to get the fastest possible response to your question, this link has details of what is covered by Scansure, the most important thing here is that the cover is for 28 days, so please don't delay in speaking to Scan as this might see your Scansure insurance period lapse before you get the chance to claim.

Also Scansure is protection against accidental damage, if the nature of your issue is more to do with component failure or some other non-accident related issue then it would be your warranty that protects you not the accidental damage cover. What exactly is the nature of the problem, maybe one of the members on here could help you resolve it?

I don't have any credit to phone anyone at this moment, that is why I was hoping for some kind of email address or something on here. Well, I turn my computer on and nothing is being displayed on my screen. Monitor detects the PC but nothing appears on my monitor.

If it means anything, I brought a 3XS system. To be more exact, a "Scan G25a".

It doesn't sound like an accidental damage issue to me. Has the computer been working ok previously?

Have you checked the cables are correctly plugged in from the PC to monitor?

Are the fans on the PC spinning? Lights lighting up etc...

Yeah it has been working good, been a few blue screens here and there but thats about it. Cable is working correctly as I'm using it right now for my laptop. Fans are also all spinning, don't see any lights though.

If you can't call I'd suggest raising an OLQ as detailed at http://3xs.scan.co.uk/info/support

If it's just stopped working then it will be covered by the 2 year warranty on that machine.

Also as its a complete system, can you even get Scansure on that?? Or have you just read about Scansure and think thats what you have with your system?

As I said its a complete system so has a 2 year warranty.
