Dodgy SATA III cables (LN35962)

I ordered 3 of these cables (LN35962) to suppliment my 6 bay 5.25" icy dock. Last night I thought I'd try using one of the bays. Immediately noticed I started having problems with my 840 EVO as it kept disconnecting itself once I got into Windows.

Thinking it was the controller on my mobo I tried all different bays etc thinking there was a fault with the controller or the 6 bay dock as I heard about it shorting drives.

Having tried every combination in different ports and bays I saw it doing the same thing. Disconnecting the drive when connected to ports with these cables.

Decided to try different brand cables... (I was lucky I managed to find spares from another machine) In short the culprit were these scan cables!

Build wise they look fine but obviously they aren't. Can you please look into this as I can see now there are several bad reviews for this cable.

Can understand one cable being bad but all three?? I'm pretty sure even the 90cm are plagued by the same problems as they seem to be the same type.

I'm bringing this to light as this could have been an expensive mistake for me if I hadn't checked the cables and am pretty sure other builders might miss this costing themselves time and money

As I like you guys I wouldn't want bad rep coming to you because of such trivial things as sata cables! Considering testing them or just removing them entirely from your offering as it's messed quite a few people around.

I have managed to check the cables this morning and can confirm that I have been able to replicate the fault you have reported.

Testing the cables with a Samsung EVO drive yielded the same result, I then checked the cables with an Intel SSD with the same results.

Testing the cable with a Seagate barracuda drive worked fine however.

I am currently in contact with our suppliers concerning the above and the cables have been suspended from the Sale.

I will contact you directly via email in order to provide working Sata cables
