    New Cooler Master V650 PSU

I got a new Cooler Master V650S PSU and it is making a lot of noise. From all the reviews I had read this is one of the more quiet PSU's around and barley makes any noise even at load but for me at idle it is making a lot of noise.

Here is a video of it happening

    youtube.com/watch?v=bp3MaF8O-iE

During the Video I had the Case fans turned off, and the CPU fan set to Quiet mode on the Gigabyte App Centre, the GPU is a MSI 960 and the fans are not even spinning as you can see..

Could I get an RMA for this at all?

Can you not hear the annoying noise at about 0:40?

Here is another video of it with the paperclip test

    Hi gamingpc,

Viewed both you videos and ramped up volume to max on speakers and couldn't hear anything out of the ordinary, sorry to say that.

Perhaps you need better sound recording kit? (hope you don't take this the wrong way and not saying there isn't an issue).

What I can tell you is I own a V650 and it's whisper quiet. This is even when that particular PC has been folding for over 48hrs continuously, you'd need your ear next to PSU with side panel off to hear it. That PC has a Q6600 with a 48% overclock (2.4GHz -> 3.555GHz) coupled with HD5850 Toxic edition (with higher OC than factory).
