Spluff.
In regards to your query, all the monitors we have arrived at SCAN after the 22-07-15 date and the feedback from customers is good as there are not reports of issues coming from them in regards to the new batches.
Best Regards,
Thanks for the quick reply Lee
I just read on another forum that someone ordered the V2 around the 26th July and was sent out an older one dated earlier than May (which is V2)
If I was sent out a one which is manufactured earlier and is V1 - I presume I can return it back to you and not have to pay the postage as I'm ordering a later v2?
Thanks

I'm afraid we cannot guarantee production dates etc of items as we source all of them from more than 1 active supplier and we have no indication or control on whether they are using a FIFO system for their stock.
If the week of production on the screen is not as required, you can return the screen as long as its returned in the same condition as it was provided.
Best Regards,
Hi Lee - I just want to be sure that I get a later one as reading on the forums the earlier builds had lots of issues. Your website says its v2 and better build quality.
Doesn't that mean the were built recently and not March?
I just want to make sure before spending so much money on it and don't want to have issues the earlier builds had...
If the prod date is no as required - I don't have to pay for the return delivery costs?
If you order it and its not the right week code, you can return it within 14 days using the DSR.
As stated though, we did have a lull in stock for a few weeks while we awaited further replacement stock.
Best Regards,
Unfortunately not, DSR is used to reject items after inspecting them at home, as you would in a store. The return carriage cost would be your responsibility as you would be rejecting the goods based on being sent a version of the monitor that you're not happy with.

Then you'd return it on the basis that we sent the wrong one then, which we would ensure that the parcel is picked up if the wrong item is sent.
The DSR are there to reject goods after an inspection at home to check if suitable. In the event that you only order the monitor and then choose to return under DSR, we can refund the original postage costs but returning the item to ourselves would need to be covered by yourself.
Just check with us on the phone - we're not going to try and catch you out or anything - just trying to clarify which method would be best in the event that a hiccup occurred.
V2 is used to signify that these are free from the issues which affected the last batch.
p.s. it's consumer contracts regulations nowadays, not DSR (can you tell I've worked in retail for almost a decade..)

thanks for the clarification Lee 2
I have dealt with Scan as my main supplier for parts for many years (since 2005) and never had any issues...
This monitor is what I really want but I am really nervous about ordering this monitor as there is so many bad comments on it on various worldwide forums.
I think these issues were minimised after a certain date (May 2015 springs to mind) - that's why I was asking initially could you tell me the build date for these monitors...
Also reading a comment by Shockedskink311 on the 7th August I am still worried that the issues are not resolved.
I would be upset if I bought this monitor and had backlight bleed / bug / quality issues that the earlier one did and then would have to fork out money to return...
I hope you can understand

Yeah we completely understand and I am of the same mindset as yourself. Personally, I'd be waiting for second gen, from a manufacturer who are well known for monitors as opposed to Acer who have many fingers in many pies, but don't specialise in any one thing..
