    Warranty: direct vs RTB

    Hello, I'm not sure if this is the right place for such a question, but here goes:

    What is the difference between the 'Direct' and 'RTB' warranties that Scan offers? Am I to assume that the former means that I have to contact the original manufacturer, and the latter means I need to contact Scan?

    Re: Warranty: direct vs RTB

    The differences are as follows ;

    Direct : Direct with the manufacturer of the item. This is generally because they have a system in place to turn around returns in a prompt manner.
    RTB : Return To Base : comes back to SCAN for us to deal with the return.

    Generally its quicker for the direct as the manufacturers tend to drop a replacement off when collecting the item which is going to be returned to them.

    Best Regards,
