Question Scan.co.uk Reps - Question regarding DOA components

hi, this is theherooftime796 with my first post.

Before I order my components I want to know what your policy is on doa equipment.
I'm aware that with scansure you can replace any components if I damage them but is this necessary if they are defective when I receive them.
I'm sinking quite a lot of money into this build so I'd like to avoid the cost of scansure without risking receiving faulty equipment.

    Regards,
    ~herooftime796

Re: Scan.co.uk Reps - Question regarding DOA components

I'm not a Scan rep, but if the kit is DOA then it's covered by your statutory rights and Scan will replace or refund. ScanSure is more to cover the potential of "Oops" moments when installing.

Re: Scan.co.uk Reps - Question regarding DOA components

not a scan rep either but their terms are available on their website.

and if you've never done a build before for the small margin just take out scan sure. nothing like being the poor chap whose kid borked the CPU by installing it wrong. £200 of CPU brick that never even turned on. Fun times! See here for an example of what I mean http://forums.hexus.net/motherboards...ed-system.html
