    BIOS Upgrade

With my next major upgrade just around the corner, I am shopping around for prices. As ever, Scan is my first port of call. I am looking at getting an X2 processor, but I hear the S939 mobos require a BIOS upgrade often to even recognise them. Without another S939 available, I can't see how this is possible without buying another processor ontop. Would Scan provide a BIOS upgrade service?

    Regards,

    Tobeman

I sent an email to scan, asking how would I flash the BIOS for a new San Diego 3700+ on an Asus A8N-SLI Premium, if I did not have a spare skt939 CPU around. I got this reply:

    Hi there,

At the moment we currently have stock of the latest bios as well as previous
bios therefore we wouldnt be able to guarentee which bios would be on the board
    prior to dispatch.

If you place the order though we can check the board which will be allocated and
if the bios needs updating we can do this for a small fee of £10 + VAT

    Regards,

    Carl Horan

Love How can I go about noting that I would like the BIOS to be upgraded in my order? However if you sent this a while ago their old BIOS stock might have been sold by now.

The best way to do this would be to place the order with our sales department, advise that you would like the bios updating and we can arrange this for you.

Please note that for this there is a £10 + VAT charge.

I want to do this as well. After placing my order, should I send an email or something saying that I would like the BIOS to be updated if needs be.

The best way to do this would be to place the order over the phone and we can then arrange to do this for you.

The only reason we say this is so we can allocate the correct board to the order then arrange one of the technical guys to flash the bios, obviously if the order is placed over the website it will be a lot harder for us to arrange

Coolio, how can I pay over the phone? And the order will consist of more than the mobo. Please advise
