Right You 'Orrible Lot @ Scan. Your Attention Please

Good afternoon Scan, and thanks for your time this afternoon.
/late visitor walks in and shuffles to a seat near the back.

Welcome. Please, grab a chair and we'll start. Lights please!
/lights dim, and projector flickers on, showing Zak's laptop screen saver of an engine.

/wiggles mouse and starts Power Point presentation.

OK people, this is a report on efficiency. Listen carefully, and take notes. It boils down to one thing. You lot are the best. But you need to KNOW you're the best, for it to carry on.

/screen changes to large cheesesy picture of a group of people hugging somewhere in America. Lots of really bad hair, and large 80's shoulder pads.

/screen changes to a time line, starting on Tuesday at 1pm.

I decided at this point to order a £1000 worth of PC hardware for a good friend, who daftly thinks I know what I'm doing in building a PC for him. I short list a load of hardware, and then PM one of your excellent Sales Team (Lee) to ask if it's ok for me to ask his advice on a few details.

PM is returned within moments saying yes, he'll help where he can, but professionally he can only assist in certain things. This makes sense, as I've not seen Lee's dress sense, but have heard about it and maybe my judgement is better after all!

/snigering from the back row, where murmers of White Geeky Bloke are heard in the same sentence as the word Wildmonkey and Lee.

OIH...shut it you lot. He's one of the good guys.

    /murmurs of agreement

Right, I called San at about 3pm, and was sadly unable to get through, as no sooner had I started ringing, than my other phone rang. I had to answer it.

3 mniutes later Lee@Scan rang me I don't know if he's supposed to, but as we've dealt with each other before and he knew I was going to ring, he used his initiative. Again.

    Well done chap.

We discussed my requirements, some of which he helped me to "tweak" to better equipment, and we ordered nigh on a grands worth of stuff. I then benifited from the Hexus Free Postage deal, and with the amount of PC gear I'd ordered, I was very happy to do so. New case, monster weight power supply, mobo, cpu, ram, hdd, floppy, tft monitor, vid card, heatsink joystic, XP Pro...endless list. All for awesome value.

I recieved my emails from Scan at the following times

    /points to time line:
    16:07 Stage 1
    16:29 Stage 3
    16:35 Stage 4

Now in this time they'd discovered a shortage of a CD burner, Lee rang me to warn me it may be a litle late, then they found one and he PM'd me to say it was sorted.

I'd like you ALL to take a bow for this. THAT IS SUPERB EFFICIENCY.

But it's ONLY the start. Oh yes.

/screen goes blank, Zak takes his foot of the lead, and wobbles the VGA connector and it comes back on.

/murmurs of "he's gonna build a whole system.....gawd!!" flow around the dark room.

Quieten down. People I want to thank the packing staff, the picking team and who ever is involved. You lot ROCK!

Scarier still, the CityLink dude was at my door at 1:10 pm the following day!!

Sadly...I was NOT anywhere near my door that day, nor the next, BUT I went to collect it today, and it's all lovely stuff.

HOWEVER....the icing on this cake, for which you lot also deserve a good pat on the back is the FOLLOW UP PHONE CALL I had 15 minutes ago, from a very friendly and polite young lady who was enquiring as to whether I knew I'd had an attempted delivery and did I know where to collect the stuff?

NOW THAT REALLY was a nice suprise Not only ultra-fast telesales, ultra-fast picking and despatch and not only bang on-the-dot delivery....but a FOLLOW UP to make sure I was aware it was avaialable.

    Lights please

/everyone blinks, and stretches bored eye lids.

    Scan,...you REALLY DO excel yourselves.

    THANK YOU

I have to agree Scan are absolutely amazingly efficient, I have never in my life had such a brilliant experience. Every time I want to buy something it is straight to scan, lets be honest who else is there with such superb service?
    Thanks Scan

Well what can I say apart from thanks for all the great feedback. It's our plan really to make dealing with us and ordering as painless as possible. In fact, when dealing with people be it over the web, phone or even instore I imagine dealing with the person the way I would like to be dealt with and this hopefully ensures the customer goes away happy, loaded with information (sometimes too much information and they come back for a bit more explaining) and they then feel more confident in buying from us.

It's great you guys are giving us feedback, be it good, bad or neutral. This way we can monitor how we are progressing and if needs be 'tweak' a few things to ensure that everything goes more smoothly in the future.

Further proof that these people are in fact not human but part of an alien race. They will make the entire human race buy their kit from them using evil, underhanded, alien tactics like "value for money" and "customer service".

    But to what end??????????

    Order time: 16:35:45
    Dispatched: 18:59:00

Received: 9:30am. I think I'll have to give credit to both Scan and Citylink for efficiency. It is a good thing for them too though, as it means that there isn't much time to cancel the order if you are having 2nd thoughts (not necessarily a bad thing).

Yep I can really vouch for Scan's ability to come up trumps when needed, the guys here on the forum are a real asset. Lee even called me Tobeman over the phone when he called me up when an item was out of stock
