    Rma 0?

As per the title, this RMA is labelled as 0 in my account. Originally RMA <Removed>.

I returned an enermax liberty PSU to you, again, over a week ago and again I have to ask before the RMA is dealt with.

This has been going on for over a month and this is the worst RMA i've ever dealt with

I can confirm we have received your PSU, however, there is a backlog at the moment and they are working through that as quickly as possible. I have asked them to test the PSU as quickly as they can, taking into account the history of this.

    Test update from our Technician:

Connected all the modular cables - connected six Hard Drives in total 4xIDE and 2xSATA - also a DVDRW and a DVDR. I also had two of the Hard Drives connected to two Motherboards and got Windows XP booting on both systems - Prime 95 was running set to Max Power load on both O/S at the same time.

Well that causes a problem. As described in my RMA. I've tried this PC in two modern systems. I even had my mate fit it into his machine to rule out sudden overwhelming stupidity on my part.

Your testing seems flawed also. Running Prime95 that way will add about 15W to the PSU, Probably much less. Hard drive power load is low, and prime will do little to increase this as almost everything is stored in RAM.

Unless you mean he ran 2 motherboards and processors from one PSU, in which case PSU's not only fix themselves, but grow extra cables.

Anyway that's beside the point, what do we do now? I dont want the PSU back. It cant power my machine, and because I've never seen it power anything. I'm not going to sell it to someone.

Well you stated this problem occurs when the PSU is under load with many devices connected, I doubt anyone could get anymore devices connected than what our technician has, with regards to the 2nd motherboard, this was powered independently with the HDD's also being powered with your PSU.

I will speak to the testing manager and see what we can do for you.

Ok on this occasion as a gesture of goodwill we are going to refund the PSU for you. I would recommend choosing an alternative make just in case there is a compatibility issue.

Thats very generous of you. Thank you. I understand it is an awkward and often costly situation when you cant reproduce the fault. If it's any consolation it's replacement will be bought from scan.

Once again. Thank you very much.

    Tom.
